Glasgow Film Festival is looking for emerging creative talent to create the cinema trailer for Glasgow Film Festival 2012 which runs from 16–26 February next year. We’re looking for an animator, motion graphic artist, filmmaker or collaboration between creatives to create a 30-second trailer which will play on Festival venue screens from December until February and potentially also in 15 further cinemas across the UK (dependent on funding).

 

This is a great opportunity to see your work on the big screen, gain lots of exposure and create something exciting for a major festival.

BRIEF

Background:

Glasgow Film Festival is the fastest-growing film event in the UK, attracting audiences of over 34,000 in 2011. The 8th Festival runs from 16–26 February 2012 and will take place in a wide range of locations across the city.

 

Overview:

The trailer will need to encapsulate the spirit of Glasgow and that this is a dynamic, audience-focussed film festival, taking place in many venues across the city with lots of exciting moving image events and film screenings. Our audiences vary from toddlers to the elderly and the advert needs to be accessible and understood by the majority of people. We’re looking for something innovative which looks and sounds great. We don’t want to be too prescriptive and would like to hear your ideas!
