Edinburgh start up is looking for an UI/UX designer, with a key focus on user interaction.

The position would best suit a freelancer/individual who can help to design our interface.

If your keen to work with a start up and would like to get cracking on work right away, simply email me with some details of your recent work and I would be happy to discuss the start up in detail.

Thanks,

Middleweight/Senior PHP Application Developer at Sleepio

Salary: 35-45 K

Sleepio is a startup dedicated to helping people sleep better. Co-founded by world sleep expert Professor Colin Espie, we are gearing up to launch a groundbreaking way to improve your sleep over web and mobile using evidence-based therapeutic techniques. We’re small but we’re already making waves: our advisory team includes UK Digital Champion Martha Lane Fox and Chair of the Medical Royal Colleges Sir Prof Neil Douglas, and we have worked with major partners as diverse as the Guardian newspaper and Boots.

We are looking for a strong PHP developer to join the team. You’ll be working alongside our Lead Developer to add and extend functionality to the core application, working on integration projects with our partners, and helping us to optimise and improve our development process.

We’re looking not only for a safe pair of hands, but also someone who is excited by the challenge of creating something the world has never seen before. We’re a small energetic team with ambitious targets, and you’d be a critical part of the company.

You will have experience of scaling out complex web applications, with specific knowledge of the LAMP stack, MVC frameworks, integrating with Flex/Actionscript and mobile platforms, JSON and API development, and JS libraries like jQuery.

In return, we’ll pay you a healthy wage, offer you the chance to join a share option scheme, provide a vibrant working environment in central London, and the opportunity to be part of a company which is not only creating an innovative and unique product, but actually helping people too.

If you’re interested in the role, please email jobs@sleepio.com with a copy of your CV, including an overview of recent projects which you think would be relevant, in order to demonstrate your experience in this area.

No agencies please, but feel free to tell your friends.
