Production Manager Role

Location: Edinburgh

Duration : permanent – 3 months probation

This role requires a Self-driven, flexible and creative person with a positive outlook. Responsible for managing production of Animated TV series for Broadcast  

Depending on production, duties include:

• Liaising with Broadcasters and co-producers.
• Managing the in house Production team and freelancers.
• Negotiating actors, writers, directors and post production facilities fees and contracts as required.
• Attending and contributing to Voice recordings, Final mixes and picture post.
• Creative commenting on scripting, storyboards, animatics, and animation.
• Managing budgets and schedules for production
• Approaching broadcasters/ production partners for creative feedback and schedule changes. Providing solutions for any problems that arise
• Providing support and guidance to members of staff.
• Taking part in production meetings, internally as well as externally
• Collating and preparing materials for delivery (Episodes, Post production scripts, postproduction paperwork, stills etc)
• Reporting back to the producer and exec producers on Production progress.  

Requirements

2-4 years minimum experience as production manager for animated content.

Experience of managing a production team   

Experience of co-productions preferred

iPhone app developer req'd for educational game:

 

We’re developing  a location based game, using iPhones  & maps to guide school groups outdoors …and we’d like you to come on board and have a piece of the action.

Purpose of the role

 

To develop an application incorporating games, activities, multimedia and educational material tied to specific locations in Holyrood Park in order to help children learn about and appreciate the environment. The application is to be developed for the Apple iPhone series of devices, a list of the requirements for the app are listed below, however it is anticipated that the developer(s) would choose the specific techniques and technologies used in the creation of the app. The developer will also play a significant role in assisting with the design of some of the activities, and the application as a whole.

Technologies:

 

Objective C

Java

GPS location technology or QR barcodes for confirming the phone's location.

Integration of multimedia, including web-games, pictures and video.
