Teen social networking & the guardian

Last year for the first time I found some of my students reporting that they had stopped using Facebook/Bebo/similar and even deleted their accounts - and over the past few years have consistently found that many students do not use the sites.
The Guardian reports on findings from Ofcom that teens are now spending less time on social networking sites http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2009/auContinue

Hi Daniel,

It's only taken me 9 months since your invite! I'm not sure if I let you know, but we took Blair on and he's been working with us since and doing really well.

I'd actually like to pick your brains on another position within Chunk if you have time - more of a games producer role.

Oooh... Would be quite interested if it meant that we could grow their expectations of staying in Scotland to undertake work in the creative digital media sector. Let's talk dates and places. emcintosh@channel4.co.uk

Hi Ewan,

here at UWS we're just getting used to being a four campus university - plus a growing distance learning community. So if we can steal any of your ideas to ebable us to "deliver ... valuable content and services on digital media platforms with significant impact and in sustainable ways" that would be nice ;-)

At the same time we have a lot of undergrads in comp science, animation/modelling, game technology, etc... some of whom (I hope) might have their own ideas for projects which would fit in with the 4iP goals.

Fancy seeing you here :-) The word of mouth approach must work. Hope you can help us see where some of the gaming influences could go in 4iP projects, or indeed come up with some yourself.

More Coffee? Owen Philipson of ESI Ltd a digital publisher for the construction industry, has started a new group for digital creatives in the Stirling and Central Scotland region. It's still in its infancy but you are welcome to join the Stirling Coffee Morning group, a chance to meet and exchange ideas with like-minded colleagues.
The digital coffee morning began as an Edinburgh phenomenon when local digital enthusiasts from informatics and digital agencies met in George Street's Centotre, cafe in 2007. Glasgow followed in 2008. Dundee already had its own drunken variants and now it's Stirling's turn.
