Magnetism's Grouphugs (01/02/10)

I started this project several years ago on my Radio Magnetic show Magnetism. It's high time that I produced a new series of Magnetism, so to kick things off, and in honour of Central Station's Sound Month, here are some Group Hugs, spoken by my computer over some… Continue

Brand Values

Does anyone else think this whole ridiculous situation with Russell Brand, Jonathan Ross, Andrew Sachs, Georgina Ballie, etc., has become ridiculous?

I think it's a prime example of the media's narcissistic self-obsessed nature. The lead item on Radio 4 news this evening was about Lesley Douglas resigning from her position as controller of Radio 2 and 6 Music. First Brand goes, Ross is suspended then Douglas resigns too. The BBC Trust and Director General have issued statements and… Continue

A fairly typical day in my often unpredictable working life. I was approached by one of Sarah (of Clarity Productions fame)'s team a few months ago asking if I could help set up an internet radio station for a community project for a friend of a friend. I said, of course, and we began to exchange emails.

One of the men behind Radio Mod (an… Continue

Hey Dougal, nice to hear from you. Yup im still twiddling knobs in the music studio, er, that probably doesnt sound right in text but you know what I mean! Its a cathartic way to unwind I find. Hopefully have an ep coming out on Black Lantern Music, a net label run by a couple of Scottish fellas (you'll love it, really varied music), its old material though that had been languishing covered in dust for nearly 10years but sounds like Warp of yesteryear, they seemed to like it. My newer stuff is online www.myspace.com/kinkslap
Im in Glasgow these days so be cool to hook up for a cold beer if your (ever) free for one
