Yup, the vast majority of groups have been deleted, as site volunteer Gavin explains in this post.

It's a bit scary to go from hundreds of groups to just a handful, but we think it will make the site more valuable and useful for everyone. The new groups created so far are:

Because let's be frank, funding is like golddust these days. Get some ideas here.

Edinburgh Happenings and Glasgow Happenings

Formerly Edinburgh Coffee Morning and Glasgow Coffee Morning, now a place to post any social events in the cities. We're not discriminating - let us know if you want to run a group for your city too.

As you can see, these Groups are very new, and very sad and empty right now. They will busy up in time but they rely on your contributions, so get talking!
